Dan Mecklenburg, Ecological Engineer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources presents results from a three year study assessing the ecological integrity of more than 50 stream restoration projects that were implemented around the state of Ohio. Mecklenburg discusses the criteria used to evaluate ecological integrity, factors that lead to project success and failure, and why he argues for the use of a broader set of standards for selecting, designing, and evaluating stream restoration projects.
