Mental Models Research

Project Overview

The goal of this collaborative project is to improve the effectiveness of watershed conservation practices and programs in central Ohio through innovative social science research and targeted education and extension efforts. The research is aimed at both informing the development of a more targeted environmental science curriculum in the local school district, as well as tools that will target knowledge gaps and improve land use decision-making among urbanizing communities. The end goal of these targeted education and extension tools will be to encourage land conservation and reduce stream impairment in the Lower Big Walnut Creek watershed.
