Area Assistance TeamsThe Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has divided the state into five districts (Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, Central, and Southeast). Each of these districts has an Area Assistance Team consisting of representatives from Ohio EPA, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, OSU Extension and, frequently, other agencies and organizations. The purpose of the Area Assistance Teams is to provide expert advice to watershed groups and water quality projects within each district, and to review grant proposals for Ohio EPA's non-point source pollution control program. You can learn more about the role of the Area Assistance Teams by calling an OSU Extension Watershed Educator or the Ohio EPA office in your district.
