Evaluating the Performance of Stream Restoration Projects in Ohio

Dan Mecklenburg, Ecological Engineer with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources will present results from a three year study assessing the ecological integrity of more than 50 stream restoration projects that were implemented around the state of Ohio.The presentation will discuss the criteria used to evaluate ecological integrity, factors that lead to project success and failure, and why he argues for the use of a broader set of standards for selecting, designing, and evaluating stream restoration projects. (40 minute presentation with 20 minutes for questions).
