Watershed(s) of Focus: Upper Little Miami and Lower Mad River Counties in Coverage Area: Clark, Greene PO Box 3Phone: (937) 878-6060 Email: bobjurick@bwgreenway.org Website: www.greenlink.org/bwgreenway/ Profile: The mission of the B-W Greenway Community is to educate the public about the value of wetlands and the importance of connecting the Beaver Creek and Wenrick Wetlands with a greenway; to promote sustainable use of land within the B-WGC while balancing human and wildlife needs; and to protect, preserve, and steward open space for farming, recreation, habitat, and watershed management. The "B" in the B-W represents the Beavercreek Wetlands, the "W" represents the Estel Wenrick Wetlands. We chose not to include the full names of the wetlands in "our name" to avoid confusion with the BeaverCreek Wetlands Association (BCWA). We value the amazing work this grassroots organization has done and don't want to do anything to detract from their progress. Several of our members belong to BCWA and have participated in their projects."Greenway" represents our goal of connecting the two wetlands with as much green space as possible."Community" was added to emphasize that "humans" live in our greenway and that we want to develop a "sense of place."
