Introduction

Climate change is one of the most important environmental issues of our time. Warming of average temperatures, shifting levels of precipitation, altered storms patterns, changes in lake levels, adjustments in the growth of crops and trees, and other impacts all have been suggested as possible by the science community.  Policy makers in the U.S. have now taken note of the scientific data and public perception.  As a result, legislation to cap carbon emissions is winding its way through Congress.   As the fourth largest emitter of carbon dioxide in the US, Ohio sits square in the middle of climate policy.

This website has been developed to help Ohioans better understand climate change science and policy.  We have put together information resources from a variety of groups at Ohio State University in a way that we hope helps users find data and information that they need on climate change.  The resources highlighted on this website have been developed primarily by faculty and staff at The Ohio State University and Ohio State University Extension.

While we try to keep the site updated, the list is only a partial list of the many resources on this topic created by faculty and staff at The Ohio State University. Please contact us with ideas on resources you would like to see included on the site.

Note: The resources have been included as we received them from the author. Please preview the resources before using them and contact the author for questions. In some cases the author may be able to present the materials for your audience.
