Harmful algal blooms present a threat to human health and recreation in Ohio's lakes. After attending this webinar you will be aware of short and long-term strategies available to address nutrient concentrations in lakes that can lead to harmful algal blooms. Mr. Fletcher will share lessons learned from alum treatment trials in the Grand Lake St. Mary's, including benefits and limitations of chemical treatment options. Mr. Fletcher will bring us up-to-date on the current status of harmful algal blooms in Ohio's lakes and the importance of addressing the sources of nutrients as a long-term strategy.
